We are headiing down to Phoenix next week for the Barrett/Jackson classic auto auction. Just looking over the cars online and a few Land Cruisers came up. Some 40's, lot #640.0 and 644.2. Also can someone tell me what lot #421.2 is?? Looks nice, I will let everyone know what they go for next week.

Does anyone else wince when they see a trailer like this? It's like making a chair out of the body parts of a recently deceased family member.

Agreed. It's not even a useful thing to do to the trailer. I fail to see how having the front end of a 40 hacked onto a trailer helps anything, other than to be a matching trinket to the rest of the truck/trailer.

That is a good looking 45 though. I like the yellow, for some reason. And unlike most B-J trucks it isn't overly "customized."

I thought the other FJ40 trailer with the rear body that someone posted up in another thread looked pretty cool and somewhat functional but I have to agree on this one...It just looks stupid to me. Maybe if they grafted the section on the back of the trailer insead  - Nah, it would still look stupid IMO :hill:

Brian, make sure you post up pictures on what you buy :D

We are headiing down to Phoenix next week for the Barrett/Jackson classic auto auction.

I was there last year and had a lot of fun checking out the cars and trucks the days leading up to the auction. Just drive in an empty (unguarded) gate and act like you belong there and you won't have to battle the crowds. Barb & I were pretty much alone with vendors and security being the only people wandering around. ;)

The trailer reminds me of a pug....

Why is the coupler not all the way on the ball? Is that the way Pintles look?

russo and steele auction in Scottsdale 19-23rd.

My dad has a car on the block at the Russo and Steele auction in Scottsdale, AZ the week after the Barret Jackson auction:

http://www.russoandsteele.com/collector-car/1970-Chevrolet-Monte-Carlo/6093

This is actually club related because Marco's halon system was in the #93 car when my dad was driving it at the 2010 Rolex Monterey event at Laguna Seca in those pictures!

Thanks Marco!

When my Dad drove the #93 at Darlington he told me. "You come into turn one flat out in a drum brake NASCAR and you see God."

Side note: At the bottom of the Russo and Steele homepage is a lineup of vintage mustangs. The Red/White/Blue #31 car is my Dad's vintage racer.

I happened to be watching last night and the OP's vehicle came up for sale. It sold for $60,000. It was kind of funny because the announcers were a bit suprised by the robust bidding and asked the inspector next to the vehicle to see if someone had dropped a chevy motor into this custom land cruiser. I don't believe they knew it was a 45.

Highest sale of the night to that point.
