I need a volunteer, who knows this trail system and knows how to get to the little miner's cabin, to lead a group back there to start clearing the tree out. We've got a lot to get done this year, so in order to get everything done and not take all day, we'll need to split into two groups.
I'm sure everyone is going to want to go to the top of Argentine pass since it's actually open for this year's event. So if we all work together, as separate groups, we can cover more ground, accomplish more things, and be able to go play around some.

I was going to try and get the large camp site that overlooks Georgetown. We'll see if it plays out.

The large camping area is located on the crest of the ridge overlooking Georgetown / I-70 / Silverplume.
If you're familiar with this trail system, to get to the camp site you have to take the right split off of the upper most switch back that heads back in the direction of town. If I can remember, I'll hang some pink and/or orange flagging at the entrance of this turn off. It turns into a very narrow shelf road (following old railroad grade) before emerging onto the tip of the descending ridge line.
I'll have the CB on ch 4
and HAM on 146.460

As far as tools go, bring work gloves, an axe if you have it, perhaps a shovel, and a couple trash bags.
And of course don't forget something for lunch on Saturday and plenty of drinking water.

It's called Pavilion Point on the Leavenworth rail grade. Turn off is here:

Dropped Pin

I have two guests that are interested in joining us tomorrow and would love a few open seats if available. I am riding with my dad in his FJ40. Let me know

My day has gone completely to hell. So I will probably not be there tonight.
