Anyone have granite cutting / drilling tools? I want to re-route some LongCruiser heater ducts. Not only is the floor granite tile, but turns out that the kickpanels (vertical between floor and seat bottoms) is the same tile - oddly covered by black carpet. I may remove the carpet or not - depending on how difficult it is the remove the adhesive, but in any event the ductwork is terribly inefficient and lacks returns. The intake and return essentially only come from the front seat area so circulation is terrible if the partition is up.
I want to add more vents and returns.
2.5 inch hole saw might do the trick as the ducts are 2.5 inch and its easy to buy 2.5 inch louvers.

Bet you never heard this need for a Land Cruiser before!

Hey Daniel, you could cut a square hole pretty easily with just a 4" diamond blade on an angle grinder (and a shop vac for the dust). Larger diameter circular holes would require a core bit, which is pretty specialized and best done with water.

The corners would have saw marks which is fine if I re-carpet, but if I were to re-carpet I'd just as well take that vertical granite out and replace with 1/2 marine ply or black ABS panels. Something waterproof and durable yet easy to work.

Or a diamond blade in an oscillating saw, for square-ish holes.

HD has some tile hole saws that I used a while back with rather impressive success.
