...The aerodynamic footprint of a maggie was a requirement for me and not a brick on top of a brick. Everything shy of a 100 or 200 is going to suffer with those. ...

I don't drive my truck enough to know if the mileage suffered what i mostly care about on the street is wind resistance and the maggie didn't really slow me down any further than my diesel already is.

...

These are totally valid concerns with regular RTT's. I've run my ARB RTT brick for years on my FJ60's and done a lot of miles and I definitely take a big hit in the fuel mileage with it up there. This past Summer I really wish I had left it behind as I drove 4000+ miles, a lot being on the highway, and I kept track of mileage. I lost almost 2mpg, which really hurt the wallet on a long trip. :o

I still love living on the roof though. Something integrated into the roof of a troopie would be dreamy. Alu-Cab or Trakka or something along those lines. :thumb:

I thought buschtaxis were overrated until I drove this one the other day. Super cool rig. I want one now.

The top is strong enough to carry two full size spares.

conclusion, i'm keeping the maggie and it was everything i thought it would be.

on the white 80, i monitored the scan guage with and without the maggie and it didn't seem to make a difference. i was looking at that after the initial run to wyoming where it was myself, the two mikes and john and on day three when we went into town to fuel up, they were all on empty and i still had 1/8 tank

It's because white trucks get better gas mileage.
