The feds are going to release nearly eight feet of water out of Blue Mesa Res to help lake Powell produce hydro electricity because it is so low.The moisture is good but the problem we're having is it's been so dry for a while that the soil is like concrete so it's not absorbing and it just runs off.
It's been a dry couple of years here in GJ for sure.
Actually recently did some charts for Lake Mead and Lake Powell, too. This data was current as of early July 2021, shows I think pretty clearly the pervasive dry period we're experiencing in the Colorado River basin.
