I had the LCP disconnect kit. It is very simple. Replaces the bolts on the axle side with locking pins and adds a small frame bracket. To disconnect you pull the pins and rotate the bar up, then secure to the bracket.
If your bushings wear you can get some play in the pins. It is a nice surprise when they disconnect under load. Once you install the kit you basically have to disconnect the bar anytime you wheel or it could come loose under articulation. After a summer of that I just ditched it.
People may argue, but I do not think it is a road safe modification.
