Yea - Paul suggested running the winch off the main battery if I stick with the parts in the kit, which is probably what I'll do.

Read page #10 --> Configuration #3 - Split change system with winch fitted (35mm² cable required) The cable included in the kit (page 2 is 16mm²).

I am going to pick up one of these for the job as soon as RavenTai confims this is the correct one...

I ran my winch of the second batt and it works well but it can kick the solenoid off if the load is high enough. I think I'll rewire to main batt before the St. Fuaw.

I just fill with solder, insert hose while solder is still liquid and, if i really feel the need, nail it with a dull punch and a sledgehammer.

Soldering a high amp cable isn't creating a lead wire it is creating a fusable link!
