My son broke a tooth on his 2004 Sequoia rear 8.4 while grenading the front spider gears (or so we assume). Found out when he pulled it to install a Lockrite as a temporary solution to a custom rear axle - part of the tooth was still intact so it didn’t show up on the road. It’s long travel front setup now on 37s so the 8.4 was always going to have to go. I think he was showing off for his girlfriend, which is still a thing when you are 22.
Anybody have a stock 8.4 rear 3rd laying around with the factory 4.10 gears? Trying to avoid putting coin in this thing just to get it running again while he figures out the long term.
