This is the thread for the Official 40's Only Run to Kingston Peak.

With FJ40's becoming scarcer and scarcer on the trails, I thought maybe I would throw out the idea of a 40's Only Run. It's always fun to wheel with a bunch of cruisers similar in vintage, and as much as I admire newer cruisers, I think an old school run would be a lot of fun. So dust off your 40 and come out for an easy and scenic day of wheeling.

On Sunday, September 16 we'll be meeting in Rollinsville at 10am and heading up Kingston Peak. The route will lead us back down towards Idaho Springs and shouldn't take more than a few hours.

:thumb:

Post up if you can make it. Also, if you don't have a 40, there are always seats available if you want to ride along.

Here's the meeting point.

I'm in.

I'll be there for sure. I'm bringing along a buddy of mine who's an amateur photographer, he wants to shoot some landscapes and cruisers! :thumb:

Looking forward to the run. I've also got something special in the works for participants.... guaranteed to be just about the coolest thing ever. :)

Very Cool! Something 40 specific from Nakman Labs maybe? Just don't sell your 40 before the run. :thumb: :D

Yup, the hampsters upstairs have been working over time, spinning away on those wheels extra fast lately, I was actually a little suprised to see what they came up with.

And don't worry I'll still have a 40. :)

Just heard from Jerry Ekberg and he's planning on making the run with his newly acquired 40 and he EXPECTS me to be riding shotgun....so I guess we're in!

Who needs a tailbone, the only dude who can stop Stacy and I from attending now is the spinal specialist... and seriously, what does he know about wheeling the first ever 40's only run!?:lmao:

We have it on our schedule. I am going to make a new "off road" pillow for the run, if anyone else wants one let me know. :thumb:

Looking to get one run in before the season is over.

I'm planning on being there. Need to fix my front pinion seal, leaking like a son-of-a-gun. Wasn't there going to be a pinion seal replacement party? :thumb:

Glad you can make it. I'm needing to do a pinion seal and full fluid change before the run too. Maybe I'll even find time to install my winch (not that it's needed for Kingston Peak). ;)

Barring unforseen circumstances, Ashley and I will be there. Missing the Broncos beating up on the Raiders!

Curious why this is a sticky? Seems to me, if there's enough interest, these sorts of threads should rise to the top on their own?

Broncos.. didn't think about that interfering with a Sunday run. Then again, I haven't watched television in 7 years, so... :D

Should be a great run! Aspens might be starting to change color already too and there's always the possibility of this being the first snow run of the year. :thumb:.
