Chris, I don't think my wife is going to go on this so you are welcome to ride with me. I will likely meet the group at Jefferson on 285 rather than drive to the meeting point. If you can meet me there I would love to have you ride along. Terry

Sounds good. I'm putting it on my calendar.

glad you can make it :headbang:

Going to spend all weekend going over the 65 to get her ready for the run...anyone really bored this weekend and wants some beer and BBQ (smoker will be going all weekend...ribs and pulled pork) just let me know...

T

If I can find the time and money to get the muffler replaced (thanks AA exhaust!), I'm in. The floor is currently heating up to about 175 degrees with a heat sheild and wrapped...time to replace it.

Get 'em fixed! :thumb:

I ordered new headers for the camo 40 and went to install them tonight and the DS bank header has two big dings in the tube!:banghead:

I called Jegs and they said I could warranty them, but they do it UPS Ground both ways! I leave the country on the 9th and don't get back to the 25th. It looks like I'm out of the 40s run in one of my 40s.

That's a drag. Was it damaged in shipping?

Looks like I will be able to make it. In spite of the four hour drive each way...Terry

You'll get the iron butt award, Terry. :thumb: The area we are going to be wheeling has some good camping if you don't want to make the drive home the same day.

Oops, hang on, I just realized the trip to Moab is Sept 26 through Oct 1. I think Dee has gotten PTO time off from work so we can go.

Yeah, September weekends were filling up with events, so I had to overlap a little with the Moab run. Have a great time! I'm sure the wheeling out there will be great this time of year.

I think it was damaged in production. So much for the "100% inspected" claim.

If there's still room, my wife and I would like to do join in. It's on our calendar. Anyone planning to camp overnight?

You're more than welcome. Where in Evergreen are you? I think I might have seen your 40 a couple of times. I'm usually rolling around in a red FJ60 with a rack and RTT on it.

40 Only Run

I live about 5 miles out Brook Forest Road.

Just got her back this evening from the Ouray run. It was GREAT! :thumb: I'll try to get some photos up tomorrow.

Gotta little work now to do before I can take her out again. Hope to get to it next weekend. Hope to be ready for the 26th!

I think hell be making it. We got the Camo running it just has a slight idle issue. Should be rather easy to work out the bugs.

Sounds like it's shaping up to be a good run. I'll be pre-running the trail sometime in the next couple of weeks to try and nail down a specific route. :thumb:

I have the same question as AIR RANDY
How much of this is road vs trail and how muc of the trail riding is doable in a very stock 40 that isn't lifted or have big tires?
