6:30 is probably too early for me but I'm going to try. My fear is getting stuck behind that 244" wheel base and not getting past the trees. But if worst comes to worst, I can always mix a cocktail and chilax in comfort in that 80!

I'm going to start out using GMRS/FRS channel 22. We can change that up if need be once we get started. But I'll start there.

Thoughts on a Sequoia making it up? Lifted, 34s ish, sliders, A-trac, 5.7(cough) 😁. Was out there last week and ran to the peak of Antero and down to Brown Lake. Also crossed Mosquito. The ruts in the trees have me concerned. Look pretty deep from trails off-road reports.

I bet your wheelbase will actually help at that spot. Here is a recent video: 8:00 shows the ruts:

The ruts in the trees are probably going to be your only issue.
We can probably help pull you through it.

There is another very tight spot in the trees where large full size vehicles need to be very careful to avoid door damage.

Looks like the weather might get spicy initially. Prepare accordingly.

Also, my front drive shaft didn’t get finished today like it was supposed to. So now I’ll be rushing to put it back on tomorrow.
But, it should be fine.

Thanks for the info! After careful consideration, I'm going to sit this one out. Especially since I am now driving back to IL early tomorrow morning. I would give it a go if I was planning to be out here a little bit longer in case something did break. I saw a Ram TRX on YouTube that ran red cone and came out unscathed. I would probably be ok but don't want to push it. It did rain in Breck today. Sunny now but looks like clouds could be rolling back in.

ETA 6:23. I got delayed meeting my new sponsor.
On the plus side that means I’m coming up with giveaways for everybody

Well, all in all I’d say it was a success!
We all had a good time. Got to the peak right at sundown and managed to get a couple good pictures.
I did snap a rear axle shaft in the rock garden because I was being stupid and doing things I shouldn’t have been doing.
But, thanks to the whole crew, I made it to the peak and down the other side all the way to keystone where @Squishy! came to pick me up with a trailer.
@Inukshuk and @Squishy! and myself then loaded up, but 70 east was closed due to an accident. So we found a small and very loud bar to grab a burger. We headed out around midnight once the highway was cleared. Took the truck all the way down to the Envision shop and unloaded.
I didn’t get home until 2:45AM.
@Inukshuk stayed in the mountains and camped out.
So all in all it was a good time. Certainly an adventure.
Big thanks to everyone who came out to play. And HUGE thanks to @Squishy! for the late night save!
Can’t wait to do it again!
