As an Eagle scout myself and currently a scoutmaster among many other volunteer duties I am proud to say that my oldest son has earned his Eagle Scout. All of the time I have spent away from the club has payed off for him. It will be something he will respect and carry with him for the rest of his life. The Court of Honor will be Sat. April 28, 7:00pm at our church St. Philip, corner of Kendall Blvd and Ken Caryl.

That is great Greg, you must be really proud of him. Looks like all of your and his hard work paid off, that has to make you feel good too.

Enjoy the day it is as much yours as his and hopefully he will carry on the tradition! :thumb:

That is very good news, Greg. Congratulations to him! BTW, just a Life Scout here, so I can appreciate the dedication it takes to achieve Eagle.

Congrats to you both, from another Eagle. It takes some pushing from parents to make it happen. (My 3 older bros are all Eagles, too).

That's Really Cool, Cheeseman

I kind of wish I had pursued Scouts.

But let's face it; I was just there for the pinewood derby.

Also, my cub scouts troop was so poor; we didn't even have a flag.
"I pledge allegiance, to the clock...."

Congratulations!

Congratulations -yes it does take some parent prodding to get that goal accomplished. Also a fellow Eagle-never could get my sons interested into Scouting after the "don't ask-don't tell" scandals of the 80's.

Congrats! I was a scout leader in various positions for 15 years, at the troop and district level. I got kinda jaded when I saw Eagles being handed out to scouts who clearly didn't earn them - in one case, the scouts dad/scoutmaster was the one that should have gotten the "bird". But I'm glad that it hasn't all gone south like it did in Gateway District in the early to mid 90's.

Congrats Greg - I never made it past an upside down Bobcat. I was into it, but the other kids in Queens, NY were not. :(
