Well unfortunately we got double booked as well. If we can we'll leave from Evergreen after the my sons game and maybe make it on time, but probably will be late so maybe next time...
We really wanted to make this run, but I don't think it's going to happen. My daughter's broken leg isn't far enough along in the healing process to withstand the bumps on Kingston. Gonna have to miss it this year. Since it's one of our favorite family runs it would not be practical to leave her at home, since she's already unhappy about her lack of mobility. It would be adding insult to injury which seems like a bad idea for a 13 year old girl.

@Inukshuk It looks like Kingston South may have Stage 1 fire restrictions in the Clear Creek Ranger District. I did not see anything on the Kingston North side in the Roosevelt National Forest.

The spookiest thing about this run was how unprepared some other users were. But hey, I can use the recovery experience. Oh, the other spooky thing is how out of shape I am for walking around at 12,000 + feet.
