The short and long of it is....
I have a base model '24 taco supplied by my company.
Generally, I like this more than my '17 taco SR5 that I had for 4 years. I do miss the longer bed, sliding window, self dimming rear view mirror, and slow opening tailgate.
With the '24, visibility is better, more headroom, hvac controls are better placed.
The bad so far after 4 months of driving it. The rear wheel flares are taking a beating from gravel amd I can see the primer in a birdshot pattern. My latest gripe and the driver for this post is the radar system and cruise control. Overall, works well except when traffic is exiting off the highway or it locks on the exit ramp line and chaos ensues! With the snow today, I experienced the radar emitter getting covered with wet snow. Not a big deal as driving on slick roads with the cruise on is a recipe for disaster! What is bringing my gears is the info block in the gauge cluster keeps telling me to stop and clean it off. I clear the notification and it quickly returns. I get it, is not able to do its thing. But does it need to get an attitude with me? I accept it's nonfunctioning at this moment. Let me see my directions, or song, or whatever else I want there. This is not a flat tire that is hoolahooping the rim at 75mph and playing slap and tickle inside the wheelwell!
Anyone have a suggestion on how to keep this notification gone after I clear it?
