BLOW OFF WORK AND GO WHEELIN' RUN 2024

The annual BOWAGW run is happenin' for the 23rd year in a row. This is your chance to slip out of work and get out on the trail, just like the good Lord intended.

This year we are doing the BOWAGW run on a Friday. That means we will go wheeling, then go eat pizza and drink adult beverages and get the weekend started right!

So block out the afternoon & evening on your calendar. You need to get yer butt out of the desk chair and go wheelin'.

DATE: Friday, July 12, 2024
Meeting time: 1:00 p.m. Depart @ 1:30 p.m.

MEETING PLACE: Meet at 1:00 pm at the SAFEWAY in Conifer. Address is: 27152 Main St, Conifer, CO 80433
(Yes, we've met at the King Soopers in the past, but there is a Sonic in the same parking lot at the Safeway).

TRAIL: Slaughterhouse Gulch near Bailey, Colo. It's a good beginner trail with some fun obstacles and a great overlook towards the end. If you're new-ish to the club, it's a great first run to do with Rising Sun. We will make sure you have a good day.

Not me -- I'm working in the a.m. and then blowing off work for the rest of the day.

If you do decide to camp, you can meet us at the trailhead rather than at Safeway. We should be there about 2:00 p.m. We'll air down in the big dirt parking lot.

I'll likely join! I just joined the forum (like minutes ago). I just moved to Bailey from CA. This trail is about 1 mile from my house and I've already done it more than a dozen times. I'll meet you guys at the trailhead.

My other 45 is ready for the trail . I planning to bring that. I will see you guys either at 1 pm at Safeway parking lot or probably at 2 pm at the dirt parking lot by the campground this Friday. I am excited for some wheeling with you guys. I don’t know that area.

We'll plan to have pizza at JJ Madwell's in Conifer after the run is over. RS will buy pizza. We'll probably be there around 5:00 or 5:30, but it depends on how many people show up for the run. Could be earlier, could be later.
