This feels like a dumb question, but is the best way to get there to use the new parkway?

Sundays are great for me. Just got new rubber, we'll se how they like deep snow. The 40's gone into hibernation in eagle, so the 100's got to do.
Got V8?

Chris, the parkway is nice. Drops you right into Central City, then you can go left at the soon to be light and end up at the parking area where we meet. Can always go over the Oh my god rd if you have the time....

Got a camera? you can take a picture of me stuck in 6 inches of snow. Anyone got a winch big enough to pull me out? I'm saving up for arb to mount mine. I guess I'll just have to use the uphill button on the dash.

I don't have too many pic's yet. It was the family minivan until my wife got a Sequoia. I took it on the Ghost town run this summer. Up Poison spyder. The worst I got stuck was on dirt roads near Sylvan lake in 2" of snow, total mudfest on bald tires. Now it's got 33's and moab sand in the carpet, cheerio' s everywhere. not sure I'll ever get them out. ;)

I believe it's going to a realitively warm weekend.

My Saxton Mtn. as an additioanl run idea may not be a good idea since we will will probably have a sizeable group and a late start. We will play around and have a good time though. Maby take a new alternate road to I. Springs. like O.M God road. I havn't been on that yet.

Oh My God Road has pucker factor for passenger cars, but it's not a trail. Just another nice scenic byway.

Yeah, deff not a 4x road at all. Did find some trails near the top of the switch backs while exploring one summer, don't know how fun they would be in the winter though(passes by one of the big mines up there, don't know the name)

That is Russell Gulch. Years back a large flash flood made that into one wicked trail. If you are headed up to Black Hawk from Clear Creek Canyon you see a bridge made of an old semi truck flatbed, thats the mouth of that canyon. The trail was open for about two months until some a-hole kids shot up some compressors and other mine equipment. The whole upper section is private property so those dip sticks succesfully got the trail closed permanatly. I'll look for some old wheeling pics from there...

I would but I don't have a cruiser really worthy of a snow run. The 70 sinks like a brick with the skinnies and the 64 is bone stock, maybe a tad lower from 40 years on the orig springs. :( I'll have to rely on perry for some pics.

I can take a passenger if I get my shiat bolted on. I just finished welding all of the links, and making new lowers and radius arms. I SHOULD be able to get them all on saturday. Now if someone want to come drink beer, I mean help, I am sure that I can make it on sunday. I will just add an inch to all the adjusters and align it later.

Wes, I'm going to take my 80, just to see what it can do. Want me to pick you up?

I have three people that would like to go but need a ride. Post up if you have a spare seat available.

If my wife doesn't want to go I'd have a spare seat in the pig. :D

That big mine up there is the Glory Hole mine. Helped put Central City on the map.

Probably won't make it...

I've had something come up. There is a good chance I won't be able to make the snow and pizza run. If I can make it, I'll see you there, but otherwise, I'm out.

I'll take that one set of chains if you find them and Matt doesn't want them.....

I'll be there with my wife, minus chains. The cross chain on one of mine is missing a link and I can't find my cam tightener. Oh well, next time. I've got M/Ts. :D

I have a spare seat. If anybody needs it I'm coming from Sedalia (south of Denver) and am leaving here about 7:30-7:45. Will be passing by Highlands Ranch on Santa Fe about 15-20 minutes later. Gimme a call 720-281-1210 tonight or tomorrow if you need a ride. I have a T-handle cam tightener too for my chains and anyone else who needs one. Sharkbait, you could just take off that cross link and still use most of what the chains have. Oh and I'm taking my new digi cam so I'll hopefully get lots of pics and video!

OK. Maybe I'll throw them in if I can tomorrow. Didn't think of taking it off.
