A buddy in CA has a near perfect 1987 standard cab 4x4 pickup that needs a right hand side front bumper stay/bracket. I found the Toyota PN but it shows NLA new in the US, and Partsouq says out of stock. A Japanese source called Yoshi claims to have it, does anyone have experience with them? Any other parts source ideas for new? For used, any recommended sources besides the obvious eBay and generic wrecking yards? Thanks.

About a 95% chance that when you order from Yoshi, they'll "check stock" and report back that they don't have the part. This is after you pay. The good news is there's that 5% chance that they DO have it, but even if they don't, they'll refund your payment. The only thing you'll lose is time.

Long time no talk Ross! There's several guys in SoCal who specialized in used mini truck parts. If you shoot me the part number and a photo I'll reach out to them.

I'd give Dave Stedman an email before going with Yoshi. Places like Yoshi, Megazip and Amayama will list parts but not actually have them, and they don't stock parts. I remember hearing through the grape vine that Megazip is ran by two Russian dudes living in japan and just go to toyota with part numbers. No idea how true this may or may not be.

At least with Dave, you are dealing with a real person. He will look and see if the part is avaliable, no having to deal with paying, hoping and dealing with a refund.

His email is stedman@japan4x4.com I've ordered thousands of dollars worth of parts from him and have had no issues. My largest order was just over $4.5k, again no issues.
