Well, looks like my 55 year old mountain plow truck has worked its last snow storm......I was pushing a large mound of snow, medium revs, low gear and low t-case (normal) when all of a sudden I see a ton of white smoke fog the road! I stop, pull over, pop the hood and hear and see water bubbling from the top of the exhaust manifold between the manifold and the head, back of the engine by the carburetor. The over flow bottle is full, engine temp was normal to high (pushing snow will do that), inside heat was on and didn't dare open the radiator cap. No moisture on the oil cap (yet).
I suspect the head gasket finally went after 55 years......but, the real question is what should I do now and what are my options?

Thanks.

To quote Jim C, it’s a 1F, it’s too dumb to die.

Not exactly 15 minutes, but much quicker than say, a fully smogged 60. Phil Simmons and I did the HG on his '72 in about 2 hours.

Edit: Those things are way heavy, much easier to lift the head with 2 people than one.

Unfortunately the last 1f upper valve grind kit in NA was long ago sold
To a horder I may or may not know

Not to say it could’nt be sourced outside normal NA channels

Oh also upper valve grind kit might not be the proper Toyota terminology…
My OG Mack parts background showing through….
Whatever the Toyota people call headgasket and up kit with intake and exhaust

I believe City Racer carries those head gaskets. Otherwise Cruiseroutfitters.

I searched and searched and have several manifold gaskets you are welcome to but couldn't find any head gaskets ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Several F/2F engine gasket kits yielded pretty much every other F/2F gasket you might need, from valve cover to t-stat, you're welcome to them, free for you. Ping me if you want them.
