Hello Toyota fans!

I purchased a set of raw finish sliders from another member more than 3 years ago. The sliders were still on the original shipping pallet, covered in plastic and placed in my work are next to my house. The wife did not want me to mount them until we were ready to sell the 460 and with the time coming, I thought I should go out there and take a look at what 3 years of sun and weather did to these. Long story short, I was looking at hours of wire wheel work that just didn't excite me.
Another member recommended a product that he swore was a miracle worker for something like this and I thought I'd give it a try, it was pretty cheap after all. The bottle arrived last Thursday and the weekend looked good to go out and give it a try. Loaded it up in a small pump sprayer and delivered a nice even coat. Within milliseconds I started seeing enough of a change to the surface that I had to take of my sunglasses...could it really be working that quickly?

No need for agitation or surface scrubbing whatsoever! I IMMEDIATLEY went under all of the Toyota's here and gave a nice spritz to those pesky frame welds (if you know you know) and like magic, it's all gone (but now on my driveway)! The company recommends another product to prevent flash rust if you're not going to paint immediately. While I have zero affiliation to this company, I would like to pass on this sale price link from the distributor I purchased the product from.

As the product naturally drips of something like a frame, it will stain the concrete BUT power washing easily removed it.

The other cool thing I learned after speaking with the distributor is that you can reuse the product.

Now this may not be feasible for spraying on frames but for small parts that you'll soak in a plastic bin, just cover it after you pull the parts until the next time you need it.

Looks like it works great. Thanks for the tip!

I've been planning on trying Evapo Rust on some projects but I haven't pulled the trigger yet. I've watched too much youtube and now/then guys bust out magic elixirs like Evapo Rust.

Do you have a feel for how the two rust removers compare? All good one way or another, just wondering.

Cool! I'm buying and trying some! Thanks @white wings

Prolly will be good to clear some rust on my truck and then paint a few things before getting hit with snow & salt this winter.

Well crap. I went to buy some and it says it's out of stock! I wonder how long before they restock?
Shoot him an email, reference this recommendation from Kurt in CO. I told him I'd be making a positive video based on my personal experience with the product and his service and there may be some business coming his way, I wanted nothing in return but continued support.

My quart showed up today. I'm going to give it a whirl on some frame surface rust spots on the 80.

I did and he replied with "how much do you need?". So I replied that I wanted to buy a quart. I haven't heard back from him since this morning.
