Bill Morgan and Mike Brown joined me on this cold and windy day. The snow had drifted and only ATV's had cut tracks recently. We actually had our hands full on the first section through the woods above the cemetery. None of us made it through this first section without winching or strapping. I must have winched at least 7 times throughout the day. We finally made it to the middle parking lot, then not much further up the trail. Bill was using a slow walk on top approach, which seemed to work for him and us for a while in places. But then you would drop down and the mudders started digging you would get high centered and it was all over.

On our way out at about 2pm in the lower wooded stretch above the cemetery, we met Al, Daryl and his brother (I think) coming up in there FJ40's. They were struggling in the same spot we had in the morning. They got out of the way and let us by. We managed to tip toe on Morgan's tracks over the tough spot. Then Daryl hooked together, using their receiver hitch technique and tried blasting through it. It was fun watching this, but they just ended up burying themselves in the hole pretty deeply. They were certainly having fun like we were. Just using different methods.

Fun day.

Pictures go like this:
Me winching, Bill requiring assistance, Bill winching - I was parked there and didn't go off the trail which would have be an easy out, Bill making headway 2 feet at a time near our turn around spot.

The next 5 pictures go like this.

This is the road, I'm not sure what I was thinking trying to go through here.
I winched through this section. I told the others to go down the normal way from the middle parking lot.
Al and his boys.
8 wheels of V8 fury thoroughly stuck.
40's hooked together.
