Yaesu FTM-400XDR Tools and programming

Its been a few months.. have you guys been out for a pilot run with FRS/GMRS?

As a guy with no radio and currently in the market.. What do I do?
--HAM? GMRS? FRS? CB? Should I have more than one installed?

It depends you say..
Well yes, but I'm fairly new to CO, clubs and wheeling, its difficult to know what 'fits best' when you're new and don't have 'crew'.
I'm leaning on getting a CB installed asap and working on my HAM.

Open to suggestions / recommendations.

There hasn't been a radio pilot run that I know of. Maybe that should happen this spring still?

As of right now CB is still the default but I haven't had my CB antenna installed since at least September. The majority of trips have hams and it's a good bet you won't be the only one using it. There's still CB-only trucks and when that occurs someone relays information CB<->ham or they'll get a loaned handheld.
