Bought my wife a Turner 5.Spot. I joked with her that it’s the bike I’ve been wanting for years so might as well get it for her and I ride it sometimes :p

I’m still on the hunt for a Sultan or maybe an Ibis Mojo

Once I have a chance at a full suspension for a few years I might catch the trend and get a modern hardtail.

I wasn't going to, getting more and more embarrassed that I'm still riding this thing. But ok...in all its glory, 2000 Gary Fisher Kaitai. The OG hardtail :grinpimp:, 29 lbs., 27 gears, 26" wheels, v-brakes and all :homer: The Judy XC fork is finally springing a leak after all these years of never being serviced, not even once. I did take it to Ruby Hill last night though and dropped the seat to take it off some sweet jumps :grinpimp:

Really? Lol I guess it does ok but I’m sure everything new kicks its pants. I saw one other one just a couple weeks ago, kinda funny.

Your bike would go great with my shoes! Circa 1996.

These are my current favorites. - Santa Cruise Bronson, Nepali Portal Cargo bike (with a Power Takeoff I fashioned to run LEDs, ice cream maker, and blender, while biking), and a Bangladeshi Rickshaw I'm converting to e-assist (because its single speed and weighs like 100lbs)

Yeah, benefit didn't outweigh PITAness. The dry sandy grit sent the front ring to the great aluminum hopper in the sky after just a couple of years. When I saw the $$$$ to replace it a good ol' chain was reeeel attractive. I think the belt drive makes a ton of sense on a commuter (no oil) or in wet places. But out here on daily 1x1 it's a solution looking for a problem. At this point I run a stainless Wolf front and a stainless King rear so longevity isn't a problem.

Also never really liked how much pressure there was on the bottom bracket and rear hub when tightening the belt. That can't be good for the bearings.
