Hilux got a new set of shoes! I've been sitting on these sticky Krawlers for a while now and finally decided to put them on the Toy.

Oh man! Please share more if you haven't already!
I have triples as well. Used the washer nozzles from a 1st Gen Scion xB. Bought them new at the dealer, cheap fix and works SO much better on my 80.

Got some new UCA to help out with longer/bigger shocks. Gonna throw these on the rig on Saturday. I am test driving some slightly longer shocks and got almost 1" more droop. However, the OEM UCA is nearly touching the shock body:

I think this shock should probably come with a "must use aftermarket UCA" note. We'll see how the new arms fit.

I cranked up the torsion bars some last weekend and will adjust a little more after putting these on to dial in ride hight, then get an alignment sometime this week. If @AlpineAccess wants his shocks back I will probably be on the hunt for something else in the extended length arena. Of course who has compiled a bunch of great info on this already but @AimCOTaco (https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/shock-length-thread.794385/)

Got my extended sway bar links finished up by doing the rears today. Did the fronts last weekend.

Will see if all the work was worth it on the rears but so far doing the fronts improved things.

Resealing the oil pan on the car. You know it's the "while I'm in there", think I talked myself into a new oil pump. Naturally I thought if this after installing a new front crank seal.

Spent hours cleaning this oil pan, what a pita! Little channels for the fipg to get stuck in. Taking it to work to finish it in the parts washer.

A side related note, a representative from Asfir reached out about a week ago letting me know they're visiting the US and interested in meeting the club if possible.

Not sure the right way to go about it other than to let everyone know via our forum.

Could Asfir folks join us at our next meeting?

So here are some numbers from installing new Nitro UCA. Last week i adjusted my torsion bars a bit since I was getting more droop with longer shocks. I didn't measure with the lighter tough dogs in there though, which is too bad. All measurements are center of hub to wheel fender.

Sitting with OEM UCA
DS 22"
PS 21.5" (need to fiddle with torsion bars to still level this out)

Front jacked up both wheels off ground OEM UCA
DS 24 1/8
DS 24 1/4

UCA out lower arm free hang. This would be max hang limited by shock length I imagine.
DS 25 5/8
PS 25 1/4 (maybe not as much because torsion bar not as loaded?)

New Nitro UCA with large bore tough dog shocks
DS 24 3/8
PS 24 3/8

So the new UCA added about 1/4" droop on their own. I got more added droop from the longer shocks. Again I don't remember exactly but I think jacked up was 23 3/8". Which means the combination of longer shock and nitro UCA added about 1" of down travel. This is pretty significant for the limited travel of the IFS 100 series. I should note I do have a dif drop so shouldn't destroy CVs too fast. Now to dial in front ride hight and then I will get an alignment later this week.

The other big limiting factor with up and down travel on the 100s is the lower ball joint. Apparently it will give way if it is forced to flex too much. That is most likely what was limiting the down travel to about 25" with the LCA free hanging. This is one of the reasons that Timbren doesn't recommend changing both front bump stops on each LCA arm. It can allow for too much compression which then causes too much up travel and can take out the ball joint.

Thanks for taking the time to post this. Quite interesting to get some additional data points.

Do you know your measurements? You have older nitro uniball? And extended icons right

Where did you get the vinyl to do this? I have been thinking about doing something similar on my 100
Amazon, where else? :)

Got to drive my 100 after starting a little project a week ago...
Rear LCA frame mounts were getting wallered out so I went to add some RuffStuff weld washers to re-enforce them but came up against a super seized bolt and got to cut and drill it out then replace the Johnny Joint while I was in there. Glad the joints are cost effective and it's done at last.
