Well I finally broke down and bought an air compressor. A VIAR 400P.

Wow! What value. $240. This thing is so well built I am amazed, especially for the price. I've spent enough time in remote areas with hydraulic and electrical systems to appreciate the importance of connectors, fittings, etc. I didn't expect this much quality for that price. It's pretty quiet (certainly can't hear it over my own engine noise), has an In-line deflator, and comes with a rugged carrying case (satchel). I'm happy with it.

Oh yeah ... it gets a 265/70 R17 from 20 psi to 34 psi in just short of 2 minutes. I can live with that.

I’ve got a smaller one, but love it. They are excellent little units.

Every Viair I’ve seen in use on the trail has asserted itself well. 👍

I have the 88P that I used until I got onboard. She gets hot, but she fills up 35s.

I'm looking at onboard air, and want to replace my little handheld air compressor and go with a more dedicated system. Where would you guys recommend buying the the 400P from?
