Ive searched the interweb and alot of people are reporting issues with their Uniden CB which i think is related to this RJ45 socket connector on the base unit.
NOTE: this repair is not for units under warranty (get a return) however getting a new CB wont fix the issue. The RJ45 socket in my opinion is poor quality and will break very easily.
Ive sourced a replacement part is very slightly bigger "Sparkfun RJ45 8-Pin Connector" but actually fits better than the original according to the data sheet.
The CB is a good unit other than this
