It was a really nice build with nearly $40k in mostly Slee receipts listed at $29k, so it was a good deal for those ok with the 4 speed tranny and integrated nav/climate of the 2002.
Given the craziness of the pricing at present, that seems like a decent price for a ready to go 100. It certainly went quickly.

Someone here selling their yard art 40? Actually looks like a decent project.

This is my post, trying to find a toyota halfway built. Whether landcruiser or truck, engine swap and projects as well.

Thanks for looking, you guys probably have more of an idea about the toyota goods I'm after!

Looks like he might be in my neighborhood (Woodmoor) based on the pictures. I emailed him as well but I'm sure he is getting hammered with interest. I can go check it out for anyone here if he responds. I don't think I've ever seen an upper hatch that rusty tho!

I'm really surprised about that hatch too! The rear wheel well areas look fine and that's usually the first to go. Weird.

Not hip enough to post the actual ad just the link. Seller is a friend's friend. I'm guessing it's overpriced as it has been up for a month now.

2006 Access Cab, stick shift, 156k, TRD Sport (won't have the locker), $17.5k

Hard to say what's overpriced but it seems steep to me. OTOH there's not a lot of manual transmission 2nd gens that aren't worn out so there's a little bit of unicorn aspect and it looks to be in nice shape.

Probably be more interest if it was TRD Offroad (locker). It was a little hard to find in the search for some reason and she misspelled "TRD". She replaced the "dee" with "ohh", although the sticker does look a lot like it says "TRO" to be honest.

Dave, thanks for your input and properly showing the ad. How do you that?
The truck is owned by an older woman that isn’t a “car” person, just into long term reliability. She and her partner are moving to Florida where they won’t need a truck.
If anyone wants me to take a look at it, I will.

It looks like they just bought it based on the rear tag?

Just spoke with the owner/seller and there is a little story behind the temp tag that isn’t relevant to the sale. She has a clean title on the truck. She is also willing to deal a little on the price.

The forum software generates a link (called unfurling) automatically as long as it's valid. For some reason the one you had wasn't complete (lacked the "denver" part of the domain and maybe the https:// too).

I found it by going to the Denver Craigslist directly and searching on the ad number (7414679767). Once I had it I just copied the whole URL (https://denver.craigslist.org/cto/d/wheat-ridge-2006-tacoma-access-cab/7414679767.html) and pasted it into a reply post.

The little gremlins who toil away behind the scenes parse unencumbered and freeform URLs into a preview.

Thanks for the explanation. I did cut the https leader.

Definitely tempting, but with 2 cruisers and a van in the driveway already, I don't think it's wise for me. I pulled the Carfax as well which is attached if anyone wants it.

I didn't know toyota was making cars before Ford and dodge... not for sale but there's a relic and piece of history that someone could potentially rescue 🤣
