I used to see them a lot in the 80s.

Today I saw a Nissan mini truck with a flat bed on it. Across the back of the flat bed it said "3/16 Ton". By my calculations that's 375 lbs. :lmao:

I used to see an 80's era 4wd parked near Federal and 38th when I lived in Denver that had those 1 ton markings on it too.

Interesting. I though the 1 tons were dually axles. Learn something new everyday I guess.

I believe that there is a cab&chassis for the likes of a motorhome. I remember seeing 1Ton pick-ups back in the day as well. Howdy Dave!

Heading up to Pennsylvania gulch today and I spotted these guys in a mess. A sharp 78 fj40 trying to winch out a 50's jeep plow truck from the ditch. Was able to get them out quickly with no damage. The jeep had a pto winch, but couldn't keep the motor running at that angle and the 40 winch fried a solenoid.

Cool guys to chat with!

That is very, very cool. I dig the '78 a lot.

That Willy's is pretty awesome too. My Dad used to have one (I think it was even painted like that) before I was born. I remember a story about him sliding off someplace on Sugarloaf with it or something too....

Yeah the Willy's was completely rust free too.

The 78 was aqualu'd and looked very well done.
