BAD NEWS: The Forest Service recently told folks that the Gulches were open. They ARE NOT OPEN. The Forest Service is not the approving authority. The appropriate Counties are responsible. Please let everyone know.
Good News: Douglas County has finished the easement paperwork and the Forest Service now has the ball. Teller County has finished their portion. Park will be next.
I, as much as anyone, am frustrated by the length of time that this process has taken. I am only grateful that it is happening versus the alternative. Have patience and hope and we will soon see the river again!
