Spring Creek Saturday 9/19.

From the advise of others I think vehicles need to have a minimum of 33'' tires and a rear locker. Winch advised, but not a deal breaker.

What: Spring Creek Trail. Difficult trail with large bolder fields, steep climbs, shelf roads and loose rocks.

I'm shooting to make this the shake-down run for the 450.

Awfully nice truck to take on this trail Dan, I thought I got beat up on Wheeler Lake. This trail can be punishing. It was brutal in my FJCruiser 10 years ago.

I haven't done this trail in a couple years, used to lead it every year for the annual Father's Day run, but one thing I have observed is that it got harder and harder every year. To the point that the last couple times it took a wanton disregard for body damage and fearless driving with gusto to successfully negotiate. Reading the description in the link above, what they don't mention is that the section above the Rock Garden up to the meadow at the top has become even harder than the rock garden itself, with no bypasses.

I have heard the same about the section above the rock garden as well, and I remember hitting a lot of rocks.
