Be apart of the 25th Annual Spooky Night Run!
Dress up your family, dogs, and trucks for a fun drive into the night! Trail will be tame for more family and friends fun time! We'll have dinner on the trail. Maybe some trunk-or-treating... I'll be keeping an eye on the burn ban so hopefully we'll be enjoying dinner around a fire. Propane firepits will be welcome as a secondary or back up.
When:
Date: Oct 26th
Time: 3:30pm
Where:
Trail: Devil's Canyon Trail
Meet here: Ponder Point Picnic Area
39°40'59.0"N 105°36'29.9"W (39.683056, -105.608306)
We've ran Slaughterhouse Gulch and Devils Canyon the last 4 years. Open to another option, but the trail will be on the milder side as darkness changes things. Plus this is more of a family laid back trip than hard wheeling. There might even be snow...
Radio Channels:
HAM: 146.460
FRS/GMRS: CH 17
CB: Who's only running CB? CH 4, I guess...
We'll shoot to find a flat open spot for the group to have dinner, relax, and wait for sunset. Then, we'll finish the trail in the dark and back into town.
What to Bring:
Food and drinks (not alcohol)
Family and dogs
Warm mountain appropriate clothes
Camp chairs
Propane firepits - to help if there's a burn ban
Recovery gear - Prepare for anything. Search "Rescue The Jeeps" Night Run...
Candy for the kiddos
Decorations or costumes
Please leave at home:
Alcohol/firearms
mean kids/dogs
bad attitude
non trail worthy rigs - you know what qualifies
Confirmed Trucks:
@Oh_shift
@MountainGoat
@Old40Dog
@4RunnerJoe
