Hardest point will be front recovery points.

Not much help today, but I have something you could bolt to your frame for a front tow point for the future. I hope it all went well!

I’m kind of curious and would like to put it in my memory bank. What do you have?

From the factory a 2nd gen Tacoma TRD Sport should have the fixed loop (this is welded to the lower subframe) on the left side...

...and a stamped tie-down loop bolted on the right.

I have 4 of these tie down anchors. I thought i had a cast hook but I can't find it. These are not meant to be recovery points. They work as a last resort but can stretch or break under extreme point loads. Your welcome to them of you want but I recommend an after market part that is designed for recovery.

Do you have any pictures of your recovery?

I'm interested in how they rigged this pull.

You made the right call waiting for pros.

Unfortunately no as it was 10pm and I did not think to.

I’ll try to describe it:
Uphill on trail east - static
one Jeep XJ square on trail tied off to tree up trail, facing west downhill. Winch line from this vechice to front of stuck Toyota on southern downslope.

Downhill west - movement
Jeep Jk facing upslope east across the trail pointed northeast towards a massive tree. Winch line snatched to that tree ~90* and down to the rear of Toyota with chain/winchline. Behind this Jk a Ford Raptor facing uphill east acting as an anchor for the Jk tied off indirectly around a southern slope tree with a strap(with less angle than shown). (Insert children’s drawing on an iPad)

Basically pendulum the rear of the Toyota onto the trail northerly slowly in increments to get the rear planted while supporting the front from movement. Then toyota reversed downhill west while continuously supported and rigged till square on trail.
