Love the car! I can't say enough about how much more I liked the LM7 5.3 with a Trick Flow cam and a performance tune over the carb'ed 427 that I yanked out. That engine ripped in my 68 Camaro with a Tremec TKO 600 5-speed with a 3.73 posi in the rear. No more carb problems and instant start! I plan to do the same motor in my 70 C10 short bed one of these days.
I'm still on the fence, but I really like the idea of a BB, but w/ the Holly Sniper EFI.

Got some wheels and tires that hold air.
75 bucks for some knock off Cragers and tires that hold air better than the tires that were on it.
Crazy how cool it looks w/ just some crusty wheels.

If it were mine, I would make it run and drive perfectly and keep it looking crusty on those Crager's and just drive the crap out of it.

If I had another I'd love to leave it as is.
However this is my dream car, so it won't be staying like this. Cragers will be a must though.

It's really hard to go any other direction than a LS in a car like that. You could do the next series up from LS and do a LT series motor. Either one would be fun with either auto or manual. A nice lumpy cam would be a good addition too with either. I'm sure the direction you take it will be a good ride in the end.

Well with some help from two great friends we got the Chevelle from Temple Tx, to my in-laws property in Pueblo.
We left Denver Friday night around 6pm. Drove all night into the morning. Got to my cousins house at 8:30 am (central time). Pushed the Chevelle onto the trailer in smoldering humidity of 80%.
Went for a spin in his 72 Datsun 240z that’s got an LS1 with something north of 400 HP and a 6spd manual.
Came back from that joy ride and left to drive back to Colorado. Total time in Texas not in the truck at my cousins house…. 2 hours.
After a very boring, tired drive back to Colorado we arrived at the in-laws property at 11pm Saturday night. 29 hours and 1700 something miles driven in about 36 hours!!
Now she’s resting in her new home for a few more months. I promised Lisa we’d get the 4Runner regeared and locked up front before I start buying lots of parts. So many parts. Oh so many parts need to be bought.
Here she is in all her glory. First few at my cousins, Buckees, drive home, and in the barn in Pueblo.
