Hum. Wonder what the event was? We were down there a few weeks ago for the noob run and all looked pretty good.
The short steep section after the hill climb washed out big time. It is the spot with the fairly large rocks and holes from people spinning their tires. It was already the toughest part of the trail, but I guess the washout made it pretty much impassable.
That’s too bad, sounds like it’d be some fun 4wheeling

any updates on if it is open? Was considering a run there soon with my 16 year old and his "new" 4Runner and his buddy with his new 80.

I believe it is open now. I recently read on a local forum that the USFS created a bypass around the bad spot.
