Still a few weeks early.. but Groucho, 60wag, and Cardinal & I went up anyway to check it out. We made it to the start of Jenny Creek then I got about 50 yards in and buried the truck, both axles. Mound of snow was only about 4' high and I tried going right through the middle of it... then just sank and there was nothing we could do but dig. All 4 wheels spinning without even a foot on the gas, a strap wouldn't even budge it even with a little monemtum. So Shawn & I dug for about 10 minutes and got it free.. in the meantime Bruce & Nathaniel went up the road a bit more to free a 2wd Jeep  who had got himself stuck pretty good. We encountered about 10 other Jeeps who were determined to try to make it up towards Yankee Doodle lake, we ended up turning around though as to not get stuck in the traffic jam.

Here's the snow I got stuck on, my stuck, and the place I was stuck as viewed from the road above.

Some remember that drift that Uncle Ben tried to break through, go up and over last year.. this first picture is it, still 12' tall. Was good to see no one had taken the illegal bypass around it. And that V right up there is still totally full of snow. Coming back out was only a couple patches, actually a pretty fun obstacle since it was a little off camber and the hill tried to push you into the trees..

I was up there last weekend to check out camping just below Jenny Creek...looks like a lot of snow has melted since then.

That deep heavy spring snow sucks. Thanks for the report, it's always nice see whats happening out there.

I did the same thing on BML - busted about 50 yards of trail and then sat it on the frame with all four spinning in idle - drift was 4 or 5 feet deep and looked like 2 feet. Didn't take too much of a tug to pull it off because it was a good uphill, but that stuff is cement. What we get for having lockers :D
