Does anyone know how to get the rising Sun app? I found it a while back on the forum but can't locate it now.

At some point, it would be really nice to have a true mobile app for our forum. I received a notice this morning that vBulletin has released a mobile app for forums. Cost is $199. Woody has done something different for the ih8mud app. He implemented an off-the-shelf, third party product...

That was 11 years ago. Not sure if it works with the current forum software (or if it is even still a thing).

My Rising Sun "App" is no longer notifying me of responses to threads. My phone had an update this past week, and since then I've been trying to figure this out. I've checked app settings, all of that seems to be the same. I've checked forum settings for push notifications, all that seems to be ok. Any suggestions?

What "App: are you using? We don't really have a standalone app, although XenForo does support progressive web apps which are browser based. Previously, PWA apps worked better on Android but it sounds like iOS now has more support for them.

It's browser based. But, not really sure how it works 🤷‍♀️. I'm on Android. I vaguely remember adding it back when I joined, but I've upgraded my phone since then, & it just brought it over when I migrated settings & apps.
See pics for what I can pull up. I'm not sure how to add it again if I remove it.

In Gabriele's case, this is a legitimate, browser-based, "progressive web app" that you can install from a browser on a mobile phone. It will create a Rising Sun app icon on the screen of your smartphone (I added the icons to our XenForo installation for this purpose). You can also do this on a computer, although I'm not sure what benefit it would provide. I haven't spent much time messing with this, but it is totally legitimate and trustworthy. It just gives you a dedicated browser window for Rising Sun only and an app icon on your screen.

Ok. I bit the bullet & uninstalled/reinstalled it. Maybe this will help a few others if they are interested in using it. It did prompt me to allow push notifications in the browser & again upon reinstalling the app, so hopefully that fixes this issue I was having.
Here's a few screenshots I took while reinstalling.

Now we will see if the notifications are restored.
