Does anyone know if you can find the pewter paint for FJ40 trim in a rattle can? I'm recovering my FJ40 seats and want to re-spray the metal back I had sandblasted. Anything close?

I cross-posted this on MUD as well.

Chris-

I haven't found something that is really close in a rattle can, but CCOT and JT Outfitters both sell the pewter at a premium.

Sherwin Williams will match a color and put it ino an aerosol can for 10 bucks, if it is a factory color.

I plan on finding a ready available color that is close and just paint all the silver to match it at once.

Let me know what you find out.

POR15 makes a top coating called Sterling Silver that might be close in color. It's brush on, but will be much more scratch resistant than rattle can and their stuff goes on really smooth. might be worth picking up one of the small cans to see if the color matches.

Chris,

I'd check with Shane over on MUD (AATLAS1X). If someone carries a factory pewter color in a can I bet he would would know who :)
