Pelican cases for camera gear?

I'm thinking of picking up a Pelican 1550 case to transport camera gear on a plane internationally. It would be in the luggage in the belly of the plane. The gear includes the camera itself plus an underwater housing, underwater strobe, underwater video light, and other related accessories.

Is a Pelican case still the way to go? Any other brands I should check out?

Depends on how big you need to go but there are much better cases available. SKB, Otterbox, even Sea Horse will hold up better then Pelicans. We’re limited on size with our cases but they will hold up better than all the above & come with a lifetime warranty.
