Hard to tell for sure. But looking at where he went off, it looks like he just wasn't paying attention and was over the side before he knew what was happening. No obstacles or narrow sections in the area.

Looks like a brand new Jeep. Bummer for him.

There is a video from inside that jeep. It looked like the driver was looking at the scenery and wasnt paying attention. He drove up onto the left which rolled him toward Telluride.
