Ouray 9/11-15

Hey hi, What’s up all!
Heading to Ouray!
Anybody planning to be up there or want too!? I missed all the events and haven’t been this year so wanted to get that done for sure. Excited to see & explore more of the area! This is only my second time. Stayed near Lake city and felt like it was a bit far to go back to and limited what we ran. Ran the alpine loop and couple other trails. So quite a bit still to see! Have a ton of things to complete before hand still but it’ll be done.
Staying at the Koa this time. I didn’t want to worry about trying to find a spot at a campground or dispersed.
How do you guys do it when you go? I like to do different spots each day If I’m solo or in small group. This time though I’m towing the 80 up and need a bigger spot and a place to keep my tow pig and trailer.
was kinda planning on ending back in the Ouray area each night this trip anyway so that should work out.
Glanced at routes but haven’t completely mapped it all out yet. Working on that some tonight after I put the 3rd member back in.
Have been searching here a bit for past events and how trails were run. Saw threads for a annual trip over the Labor Day weekend but has since died off?
Any how Pumped to go for sure!

Open to for suggestions for what to run when. Was thinking Black bear and Imogene during the week for less traffic. Sat I’m looking for a shorter run for after we get set up Porphyry Gulch maybe.
Sun Pougkeepsie,California and The gulches.
Mon. Black bear and Imogene
Tues. Yankee boy and Governor Basin.
Weds. Still working on this one. Most likely another shorter run or maybe a hike or box canyon deal
