Need help going to Moab for my first time.

I am a decent mechanic and willing to help anybody with what ever they need. I have never been to Moab. I really want to go and experience off-roading with new friends. I also need a place to sleep when I get there. Plus I need a ride to cruse Moab. I live in Golden Co and new to the area. I really need to make new friends, I tend to be kinda shy. Once I get to know people I can be very talkative, just have medical issues that causes me to be quite and to myself. Please help me get out of my shell.
