I am looking to borrow a couple to assist in unloading a pallet (4' X 10') from the back of a semi. This is a pic of what I am looking for.

Are you using a forklift to unload? We have fork extensions at work if that would help.

Yes, i will be using a forklift. Extended forks might work as well. As I am not very experienced, it feels like it would be safer to use the forklift to get most of the pallet out and then support with the jack stands. Then move the forklift to get the center of gravity in a better position.

This is the forklift.

I appreciate the offer Kurt. I don't know when it will arrive, getting details on where it is at and arrival date have been very difficult - nigh impossible. I am really hopeful that I will get a day or two's notice as opposed to it just showing up. I'll holler when I know more.

I have two of those exact HF extended jack stands you can borrow. You can pick them up anytime from me in Morrison.

Jack stands would be easier to transport as our extensions are long and heavy. Still available to you as well as a pallet clamp and chain if we need to slide it to the back of the box. I’m happy to help if delivery happens when I’m not working

How did your parts inventory go? sorry I had to go, but this weekend is inventory at work, and had to get back to the warehouse. I felt lucky that I was able to sneak away to help out....

Thanks for your help Kurt, it was great to have your experience. The rest of us knuckle heads would have probably abandoned the forklift and unloaded piece by piece.

There are some missing parts, but the core components to get it up were all there. A bunch of scrapes and scratches. One bent panel, but it is on the edge and will straighten out nicely in the press.

I'll let the vendor know and expect they will expedite the few pieces that are missing.

Today I rechecked the inventory and amazingly, there are only three items missing. I am having the vendor check my work, but should be able to build the mezzanine kit but am missing one of the core stair support stringer rails. Here are some picks of the unloading and where it sits now.
