Mirrorless cameras: the future?

Canon announced a new full-frame mirrorless camera today.

Nikon announced their new Z series full-frame mirrorless cameras in the last few weeks.

Sony is several years ahead of both of them.

What do you guys think? Will SLR cameras be dead within a decade?

The SLR will always remain, at least for pros and amateurs who've built up extensive collections of F-mount lenses. But now just as it used to be most people don't need anything that fancy. We used to have Brownies and Instamatics and point & shoots for most people and these mirror-less camera are really good.
