My son and I ran Middle Fork Swan River and Saints John yesterday. I tried to run this route last October, but was blocked by a snow drift just after Tombstone Hill on Middle Fork Swan. These trails did not disappoint. Middle Fork Swan has just the right amount of technical obstacles (the Tombstone Hill bypass is open now, by the way - it was blocked by snow as of a week ago), and the views atop Saints John are pretty awesome. We passed a nice herd of mountain goats near the Saints John trailhead, which was super cool.
