Sorry for the late notice but if you don't yet have plans for the long weekend, we have a few spots open this Memorial Day Weekend to the Red Desert Wyoming area.
Want a whole lot of spectacular nothing? This is your trip. Some cool historic spots like the Tri-Territory Marker, Point of Rocks, Killpecker Dunes. and the Boar's Tusk.
Thursday PM: Departing Thursday night after 7PM to lay down a few low-traffic highway miles and be able to enjoy full days away Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Sleep somewhere off 80 in WY.
Friday: Drive, get a lot of gas in Rock Springs, WY (if you have an 80, an extra 10 gal would be great), see some stuff, camp in a spot that may just blow your mind. Grill N Chill.
Saturday: Play in a big sandbox, see more cool stuff. Grill N Chill. Maybe see what they are serving in South Pass City
Sunday: See more cool stuff. Grill N Chill.
Monday: The route home comes back down I-25 so no I-70 traffic.
I'm not trying to be vague. I have BLM maps of the area. I have a few spots I have been to before and want to see again. Local conditions and weather will determine some of what we see and do.
No extreme 4 wheeling planned, but ya never know whet we'll encounter. Most important is great attitude, truck in great condition, good tires, and willingness to get lost.
