Looking for a Fort Collins area Toyota 4 Runner mechanic/specialist

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for someone that specializes in 3rd gen 4 Runners. It could be a mechanic or someone who has a lot of experience working on them.

My dad has a 2002 Toyota 4 Runner project in progress but he needs some help. The 4 Runner is torn apart in his garage and he could use some extra hands to finish the project.

Ideally, we can find someone who wants some extra cash for the holidays. But if we can't find someone to help at his house we may have to put it on a trailer to take it to a mechanic.

So exactly what kind of mechanic are you seeking? I mean comprehensive in finishing a project with fabrication or someone who's gonna do regular mechanic stuff?

L1 Automotive in Loveland is pretty good with Toyota generally and 3rd gens would be their bread-and-butter. But I'd think they'll just want to do jobs, in-and-out, and not tying up a bay longer than necessary.

This is a frame swap.
1. The body is off the frame.
2. The old frame went to scrap metal.
3. He's moving all the parts over to the new frame and rebuilding the front end.
4. The engine and the transmission are great (under 150k miles).
5. He works full time and it's a big job so it's taking sooooooooooo long. We want to speed up the process with some help. And his wife wants the garage back 🤣

Hi. I did many frame swaps. and know 3rd gen 4Runners good. I,m in South Denver area. But still call me 720 276 6697. Oleg, Irbis off-road.
I even did 1gen body on 3rd gen frame.

1. Steering knuckles need new upper ball joints
2. New hub assembly with wheel bearings
3. Shock absorbers installation
4. Brake lines completed
5. New front axels installed
6. Front wheels installed
7. Engine and transmission placed on frame
8. Drive shafts installed
9. Roll the frame under the body
10. Install bolts that tie the body to the frame
11. Gas tank, exhaust system, connect steering, hosing system, wiring system
