Dunno...Ive never done it, Dont really have a want to, But you need to pay extra to use it, There are plenty of other fins to drive on, The hard part was at the beginning anyhow.
If it was sold to build condo's...well I dont know what to sat to that, But it was privatly owned and the owner has every right to sell, Im sure they made quite a bundle...

Private inholdings and easement access to public land is just going to get to be a worse problem too... The USFS, for instance, is developing an easement policy, but I doubt it will have teeth. I've been wrong before, and I'll gladly be wrong again on this.

A bummer for sure...I've never had a desire to do Lions Back after watching that famous video of the Blazer (I think that is what it was) that lost its brakes and came flying down...However, I sure have enjoyed watching videos of people crawling up it...

I think it's a damn shame that Lion's Back will no longer be open. I've never done it and never really had much desire -- but anytime "progress" shuts down access to a natural resource, I'm opposed. Kind of like private beaches -- WTF is that?

If you had only half an hour to show someone what Moab is all about, Lion's Back was the place to do it. It was a quick and breathtaking ride that could be a lifetime lasting experience. Ahh, progress.

The reference mentions it was an 80 acre parcel that was sold. That is alot of area. I hope the exit to Hell's Revenge won't be in trouble. Cuz you just know when those views from the windows is "tainted" by those dang trucks it might not be far behind.

Maybe we should invest in a Rising Sun condo spread just for us.
