Glad to hear @mukker4life ! HGL seems great!

I see their folding rack is $275. Pretty crazy it's half the price of the Rep and Rogue racks.

https://homegrownlifting.com/products/hgl-foldable-rack

They seem to be made with the same main tubing, 3" x 3" 11 gauge ~90" tall. The Rep rack has closer spaced holes in the bench area, but whatever. Idk if it's worth twice the price. The HGL also appears to include the wall adapter plate in the $275 while Rep and Rogue sell without or charge extra.

Thanks for mentioning it! I'm going to investigate HGL more and for the pricing I see now, I might pull the trigger on a rack sooner 🤘😆

How do you like to train using your setup @mukker4life ?

It works well, accomplishes the stuff in need In a small area. I got the spotter arms which are extra. It all feels stable with the feet contacting the floor to carry the majority of the weight. Pull ups feel stable and it’s easily broken down and folds flat against the wall. I also have the dip bar. The packaging was terrible, cheap boxes and some minor damage on a couple parts but all still functional So I didn’t worry about it. Installation was easy and self explanatory, no instructions were included anyway.

Stoked to hear! Thanks for sharing. The stability aspect being key for primary work like pull ups, bench press, and squats.

The spotter arms and dipbar being extra costs are well within the cost savings compared to Rep/Rogue.

I'd wager maybe since all three companies use the 3x3 main tubing, their accessories might work on the other companys' racks. There might be some advantages to be gained.

So I was about to hit "purchase" on Homegrown Lifting's folding wall mounted rack for $247.99 (on 10% sale now for black Friday). But their least expensive shipping cost is $193.23. Total cost of $441.22. For reference Rep Fitness folding rack is $499 with free shipping.

$193.23 seems a little bit high. I reached out to HGL's customer chat but no reply yet.

@mukker4life What do you remember having for shipping cost?

Thanks for letting me know @mukker4life.

Heard back from HGL's customer chat. They confirmed $193 is the minimum shipping cost. But if I order more items the cost per item goes down. Of course the total cost will be some amount greater than $193.

I'm reconsidering how and what to purchase.

Still considering what options to go with since HGL shipping cost is so high. Titan fitness might have a good $400 price with free shipping on a T3 folding rack that fits my space well.

But yesterday, through a local friend in the Wasatch front, I heard of a KSL post for a Rogue Monster Lite Rack SML 1, a 70" monster lite squat rack. Screenshots of the post attached. I chatted with the seller who's willing to sell for $260, and I'm checking it out this Friday. Regular price from Rogue is $400 plus shipping, though they're offering a sale $330 with $5 shipping if I buy five items.

The SML 1 is what I was initially thinking of getting, however I still believe a folding rack would be better for my space. $260 appears would be a good price and I expect the rack would be good quality.

Please sanity check me. Anyone see reason to avoid this used Rogue SML 1?

With no reasons against the $260 Rogue Monster Lite Rack SML 1, I checked it out today. And I bought it since it'll fit my need, it's decent priced, and a little wear gives it character. It's quality is great and USA made 💪😁

I'm stoked to assemble and use it! I'm going for 20 rep squats for fun. I've been doing 20 rep deadlifts so far without having a rack.

Woke up early before a group run this morning to assemble:

Fits good. Feels good.

The little 3" wheel brackets at the rear are SO useful, LOL. Anyone getting rid of their 37s? Could I borrow them for this rig? 😆

Step by step we progress.

Anchored the rack to the platform and added a few accessories to the rack. 5/8" hitch pins, pull up bar, 8020 stiffener beam, paper towel holder, small plate holders, and character. Yes this has become an equipment thread 😆 all the same, been testing and using it at each step. I'm happy.

Excuse the mess. It's how the process works. Again not doing this "clean" like the Grammy.

Thanks @DomOfTheDead for the 8020 inspiration.
