I’m thinking about doing this in my 60 in the late spring. Pretty well stock: OME lift, 2F moderately well sorted, 31s. What say ye?

Any big water crossings that would be impassible in the spring? I’ve looked into it pretty but haven’t been able to judge what the terrain is like aside from Rose Garden Hill at the end (which I would probably take a pass on).

We weren't able to complete the entire route, we opted out before we got to the Rose Garden Hill section, Aaron and I would like to go back and complete the entire route. You should be fine in your 60 with that set up if your opting out of the Rose Garden Hill section. There is the Cisco Wash crossing along the route, I'm not sure what that will be like in the spring...

Cisco Wash and McGraw Bottom are not a major issue unless you're actually near a hard rain at the time. It's mainly just a dry, sandy wash so just watching for flash flood. What determines when the Kokopelli opens in the spring completely is snow in the La Sals for the most part.

The sections you did can generally be done anytime of the year as long as they're not snow covered or muddy at the time you actually hit it. It's not easy to predict but usually March is a shoulder season where any lingering snow will probably be mud but it depends on the year.

The length you're talking about is really one of the major deviations between the 4x4 (blue) and 2-wheel (red) Kokopelli routes so trucks don't go down to the singletrack along the river after Fish Ford and join the bike route at UT128 again later.
