Slowly chipping away at the to-do list preparing for CM. Picked up some wheels and tires from the classifieds which should work out perfectly for me. They are 295/70/17 (33x11.5) Ridge Grapplers on JCS 17" rims. I have Ridge Grapplers on my 100 also and I absolutely love them. They are on the heavier side of 4x4 tires but the performance has always been excellent for me.

I also replaced a cracked headlight. Overall it's starting to look like a handsome truck!

Today I took the EV 80 back to the same scales that I weighed it on before I started. Everyone wants to know the weight, well here it is: 5180 lbs. Remember, when it was stock it weight 5080 lbs. So that means currently it is sitting 100 lbs heavier. This is with the addition of my 17" wheels and Nitto tires, steel bumpers front and rear, and a Warn 10k winch on the front. I would say apples to apples it is 100-200 lbs lighter than it was stock if the armor and mods aren't part of the equation. Really cool! I said I wasn't going to post any more photos before Moab but I lied I guess.

@J1000 you bringing the e80 to CM?? :D

Allen
Yep! I will be running it on Friday on the Gamiviti sponsored run Wipe Out Hill and if I'm feeling confident I may do the Staircase on Hell's Revenge or something like that. Of course I will be showing it off at the Arena for everyone to check out and give rides.

Nice work Jimmy, the rig did great on our Wipeout Hill run and had power/range to spare. Really really cool. Kudos!!
Thanks man! I was really impressed myself haha. We had no problem keeping up with the group and it climbed up all the obstacles better than I expected, honestly. Thanks Marco and Tim (@rover67 and @nakman) for your patience and letting me test out my experiment on your trail!

I stayed Sunday and drove it around town and did Baby Lions Back and cruised to some hiking spots to let my dog play in the river. All I want to do is get it back out on a trail ASAP! Got back home today I will write up a full report on the EVJ80 tomorrow!

Jimmy, I first saw your evj80 on a repost on instagram from some random columbian lc80 account...freaking loved it, had to learn more, and tracked you down...embarrassingly to the same state, down the road, in the same group! I have not been able to get more involved RS events (something I'm planning on rectifying shortly), but it's been a total blast following your escapades. Really nice work -zach

I really have to thank all the guys who helped out on this build over the last year. Really it would not have be at Cruise Moab without your help wrenching and your thoughts and ideas about how to build it!

THANK YOU GUYS!!!!
@DomOfTheDead Dom
@MonPetiteShoe Josh
@Stuckinthe80s Nic
@On the RX Adam
@nakman Tim
@60wag Bruce
@OHUZJ100 Hunter

Each one of you guys is entitled to take the EVJ80 up some obstacles! I started this thread Aril 30, 2021 when I got my license plates for the 80. What a year!

Thanks! Glad you found the build eventually. One thing I regret was not letting other people have a chance at driving it more. I will make it a point to bring it on upcoming runs and share it with the club so come on down! Let me know if you want to come check out the build sometime.

The amount of work and time that has been put into it showed up this past week. Super impressed!
On a side note, the cb install work in the center console really caught my eye😉
Not only that but I'll tell you that the steering was great! Good job on that stabilizer!

Was really fun to be a part of this Jimmy, great work man so proud of you for what you did here. And the presentation you did at lunch on Wipeout Hill was excellent.. followed by crushing the toughest obstacle on the trail. :bowdown:

Yeah that post on IG from the Columbian LC80 threw me for a loop also... so wild! I'll totally take you up on a drive sometime, hopefully it makes a few club runs this summer!
