Did you know that you can get personalized plates with your HAM call sign

Amateur Call Letter Plate

Colorado Revised Statute 42-3-210
Issued to passenger and light truck vehicles with an empty weight of less than 16,000 pounds. Vehicle owner must have a valid, renewable amateur radio license issued by the Federal Communications Commission. Only one set may be issued. Additional charge of $2.00 upon application and $2.00 additional each year thereafter.

Yep, I see quite a lot of them around town but alas I'm not a HAM dude yet...

Are they only available in the green though? I like the columbine plates and the green clashes with the black :hill:

One problem I see with this though. All somebody has to do is plug in your call sign and they can type in the FCC database and get GPS coordinates to where your Cruiser lives. I've thought about that a lot. It might not be that big of deal for a later model common Cruiser, but imagine having the plates on a restored rig that would be easy to part out. I've never been concerned about having my Cruiser stolen by a local but I have been concerned by internet type thieves.
